I thought writing something would be easy but now pen to paper I’m lost.
So much I wanted to say but never got the chance so many moments lost never to be replaced. Your infectious smile those cute dimples will never be forgotten you are etched in our hearts. And if we can honour you in one way is to have the same love of life as you did.
You left your mark on us from the very second you came into this world.
Not sure if I ever shared this with you. But when you where born Cassie had the measles so the hospital wouldn’t let you a newborn go home with her there. So what happened well Cass got evicted for a week so you could go home & she got better.
So where did Cass go she came and stayed with us. What I didn’t know at the time was I’d never had measles as a child so I then caught them off Cass. Not a pretty sight and a nice huge scar from the itching as a result right next to my eyebrow to remind me of you every single day.
You entered this world and left me 1 scar you left leaving multiple others.
You will never be forgotten - fly high angel x
“So let the light guide your way, yeah
Hold every memory as you go
And every road you take
Will always lead you home, home”

Her Life
January 25, 2019

Ivana was a beautiful young lady who deeply loved her family & friends.

Ivana was kind hearted & gentle.

Whether she knew you or not, she was always there if you were in need.

If you were that kid in class who would sit by yourself, she would sit next to you, she wanted to be your friend.

Ivana loved animals, but in particular, she loved dogs.

If she came across a dog roaming free, she would be the first to stop, she would care for it as if it were her own & would ensure it got home safely.

Ivana had such drive for life.

When she was little, she dreamed of being a tennis star, playing in the Australian Open.

She was fantastic at sport.

As she got older, her interests & goals changed.

Whilst suffering a brain injury & undergoing major surgery, Ivana managed to complete year 12 & followed on to study criminal law at university while working part time in retail, she was determined to succeed in her chosen career & nothing could slow her down.

Ivana was not without fault, like none of us are.

She was head strong & adventurous, but dare I say it, a risk taker.

Some may believe this was her downfall but I believe it’s what made her unique.

“Boring” never existed when you were in her presence, her energy was contagious.

Ivana lived by her heart giving 100% to everything she did whether it was her passion for tennis when she was younger or her love of cars as she got older.

She was a free spirit, she wouldn’t just follow the crowd, she never did things by halves, she would carve her own path.

Her passion for life was without fear.

Without fear of consequence, without fear of whether or not it was popular.

Her time on this earth was short but the footprints she left behind are large.

There are many things for which Ivana will be remembered, but what we will never forget was her winning smile & her goofy sense of humour…

Her memory will live on forever by those who where blessed to have met her & if there is one thing she could pass on I guess she would say

“Live with no excuses, love with no regrets”

MEMORIAL TRIBUTES

“I met ivana once and she was so lovely and caring of others, even though she didn't know me personally she offered and drove me home after work one day because it was 'too hot to walk'. “

“She was such a caring person I remember when I was pregnant with my son every time she would see me she would stop just to feel my belly and say hi to him”

“I hope it helps in any way to know that there are surely others like me who will always remember Ivana as a huge ball of joy and a very loyal friend.”

“Ivana was such a wonderful person. I worked with her and she was such a good friend and made work fun. When they moved her, I almost didnt feel like coming to work because it was no longer fun. She's made such a positive impact in my life and I will always remember her spirit.”

“I went to school with Ivana, she was such a bright, talented, lovely and beautiful girl, she used to be the light of our year level.”

“I met Ivana last year at uni, and I'm absolutely dreading starting back this year and not having the one person in the classroom that made everyone laugh and feel welcome. Uni was hard for most of us last year, but she always made it better. Our class will never be the same without her.“

“We will all miss ivana and her crazy dancing self. She was a massive part of our little work family. She will forever be loved and missed.”

“She was my first and only UNI friend for the first couple of weeks, she was the only person who bought me a birthday present and I'm not sure if you remember, but Ivana gave me her log book. Literally without her I wouldn't have my red P's”

“The teachers were so sad to hear about Ivana. We all had a soft spot for her and were so proud of her when she graduated high school. A student who had a big heart and matured into a beautiful young women in front of our eyes.”

“She was truly loved by everyone she met and came in contact with and i feel blessed to have known her for only a few months. She always seemed to put a smile on everyone's face when you seen her.”

“I wasn't the happiest kid in my primary school years and I didn't have a whole bunch of friends so I used to look forward every week to tennis lessons when I could spend an hour with Ivana and have fun with her. She really was so special in that she had this kind of humour where anything and everything could be funny and she used to make us both laugh non-stop. I remember her telling me about her tap-dancing lessons and showing me one of her routines, smiling the whole way through. She used to make those tennis lessons the highlight of my week and I loved laughing and joking with her.”

“I've had too many countless laughs with her, she was always the person to make a whole crowd laugh even if they were down. The thing I loved upon many reasons about Ivana was she never let anyone stand all over her, she would outspeak the loudest and fight the toughest. She held herself with such pride and a heart of gold”
