Dear beloved Jon,
“Peace be with you” (John 20:19, 21, 26)
You were a precious child of God and great disciple of Jesus Christ. And you were a real gentleman in USA. Our Lord knows that you have devoted yourself for the kingdom of God and this nation and church. I respect you.
Above all whenever I visited you, you welcomed me even though your body was uncomfortable.
I will remember your lovely look and soft smile forever. Yonmi and your good sons- Isaac, Paul loved you. I will always pray for them.
Thank you. Bless you.
Grace and love in Christ.

Dear Branaum family,

I was honored to have met Mr. Branaum and his family and to have shared valuable time with them. John was a very brave man of God with a strong faith, and a passion for our Lord Jesus Christ. I learned to communicate with him through his sight. His smile would inspire faith and would light up his room. His departure from earth has left a void on those that shared incredible memories with him, but we know for sure he’s won the good fight and has met with his Savior, whom we shall reunite with when our time comes.

Mrs. Branaum and sons, you are not alone. Our God will always be by your side to aid, protect, support and strengthen you in times of pain.

Our sincere condolences from my family and I.

God bless you always!
Alejandro Samayoa and family.

His Life
March 17, 2021
Jon was born on Jul 25, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of George Maurice Branaum and Ida Lucille (Aeschliman) Branaum, who preceded him in death. He was married on Mar 9, 1985, in Seoul, South Korea, to Yonmi Lee.
Jon served our nation for over 40 years as a U.S. Air Force servicemember and civilian national intelligence officer. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and Defense Intelligence College. He proudly supported our country during the Vietnam War and on countless other occasions. Most of all, he was a dedicated family man whose passion for God and country was only surpassed by his love for family and laughter.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Yonmi Branaum of the home; three children, Christine Branaum-Brosius (David) of Los Angeles, CA, Isaac Branaum of the home, and Paul Branaum of the home; one sister, Debbie Clark of Katy, TX; one sister-in-law, Beverly Branaum of Columbia, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Lent, and his twin brother, Don Branaum.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Mar 20, 2021, at Christ Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church or the ALS Association: http://web.alsa.org/site/TR/Personal/General?px=8588426&pg=personal&fr_id=10054
