Jessie “Jack” Thomas Williamson, 75, a resident of 1022 Champion Street, passed away, Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Beverly and Jennie Mae Newton Willliamson.  He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Harriett Henderson Yarns of 52 years.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford.  Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Lucretia Leonard Williamson of the home, one son, John Thomas Williamson, two step-sons, Richard Oliver and Terry Oliver, all of Henderson, five sisters, Virginia “Monk” Dickerson of Henderson, Mary Ramsey of Stovall, Lodema Turner of Durham, Ludie Hudson of Nelson, VA, Maudie Adcock of Oxford, three brothers, John Williamson of Grassy Creek, William Williamson of Stovall, James Williamson of Bullock, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Williamson.

The family would like to thank his fishing buddy, Abraham Vazquez and his caretaker, Neta Williamson Morales.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Monday evening, February 20, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at 1022 Champion Street, Henderson, NC 27536.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and each family member of Uncle Jack. I have fond members of him when we would see him at our grandparents, he was full of humor and always kept you in laughter. We will miss him by his presence but in our hearts he will remain forever.
