We the Pemexans, were privileged to dedicate a respectable minute of silence for our founding father Jackson F. Atanga during our recent past Pemexan convention that was held at the Hilton Hotel here in Gaithersburg Maryland between June 5-7, 2015. This was a convention dedicated to your honor.

Jackson Fonocho Atanga fondly called “Daddy Jack” was born June 19th, 1966 in Yaounde Cameroon. He attended Primary school at Presbyterian Primary school Kumbo, graduating in 1979. He proceeded to attend Presbyterian Secondary School, Mankon, graduating in 1984. He also graduated High School at CCAST Bambili, Cameroon in 1986. 

Jackson was awarded a Cameroon Government scholarship for University studies in the United Kingdom. He attended Hull University, England, where he graduated in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering. He then proceeded to Loughborough University of Technology, England where he earned a MS in Digital Communication Systems in 1991.

Jackson Atanga was ordained as a pastor serving at BetterDays International on June 19th 2013. At the time of his passing, he worked with the Child and Family services of the government of the District of Columbia.  

Jackson is survived by his wife, Doris Atanga and Kids (Shakin Atanga, Banyong Atanga and Janelle Atanga). He also leaves behind a big family of which he was successor; his siblings – Charles Atanga, Wilfred Atanga, Elise Tsongwain nee Atanga, Therese Tawah nee Atanga, Estella Loe nee Atanga, Fonyam Atanga, George Atanga and Jerry Atanga, and his mother Catherine Atanga.
