Chaos in the kitchen

February 20, 2019

For many years, Jacqui, myself and array of others would hold what many may argue, was the precursor to the great British bake off in the parish centre kitchen during holiday club. Our pièce de résistance being bacon, brie and cranberry baguettes. I always looked forward to those weeks with her as I know so many others who did too. She was always encouraging and optimistic to the ones who needed it most

I won't be able to make it to St Peters tomorrow as I am still in Hungary. But I'll be having a bourbon biscuit to remember.

Lulworth Cove, a contribution from Michael Brainch

February 10, 2019

In July 2018 Jacqueline treated the Viveash family to a wonderful trip away to Dorset. I was very pleased to be able to join for a long weekend and relished the opportunity to watch copious amounts of sport (World Cup and Wimbledon) enjoy long walks in the countryside, enjoy BBQs on the terrace, chase Timmy and Jekka (the dogs) around the garden and the evening ritual of playing games after supper (protests were futile). The weekend away provided solace from the daily grind and I reflect on the conversations I had with 'AJ' warmly. We discussed the books we enjoy reading, our political and social views, her love of painting and my passion for outdoor pursuits. AJ visited Lulworth Cove amongst other places whilst on holiday and had a delicious crab sandwich! The reminiscence of this holiday is of great comfort to me and provides an enduring memory of Jacqueline; her generosity, compassion, empathy, intelligence, humour and humility.
