Jacqui has had an amazing impact on my family, we met when I was a young mum desperately trying to keep two small children quiet as we sat under the balcony in church-Jacqui was no help! What developed was a strong and lasting friendship cemented with film trips and long lunches. Jacqui effortlessly kept pace with the children bridging the generation gap from Shaun the sheep, through the Harry Potter years up to GCSE support. Jacqui proudly describes herself as “in loco grand parentis” and loved us as her own. Our lives are richer for having known and loved her. Rest in peace Jacqui, and rise in glory. Jacqueline was such a kind and caring person with a wonderful sense of humour. She did so many things quietly and efficiently at St Peters and was so good at organising regular prayer for those in need. Her wisdom and caring concern for others will be greatly missed.

Jacqueline was such a cheerful and caring woman with much wisdom gathered during her long scientific career. She was a good friend who was always very easy to talk with even when I visited her recently in Cedar Lodge. May God welcome her to His peace with open arms.

Jacqueline has sat next to Jill and I in church for many years. During the last few years we have saved an armed chair for her as she developed difficulty in rising from the chair. Despite this she always remained so cheerful. She was lovely company to be with and we will miss her very much.

When I First met Jackie 10 years ago when she needed a cleaner I couldn’t spell her name then and I still can’t spell it. Over the years we became the best of friends even though we both had health problems. Any time I was in hospital Jackie would always be there for a visit and always on the phone to see how things were going. Jackie was one of the kindest people I've ever met. I will always remember her kindness to me and I will miss her a lot.

We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting 'Aunt Jacqueline' on a few special family occasions. Her warm, larger than life character and cheeky sense of humour struck us immediately.
AJ clearly enjoyed a good discussion, where she could utilise her intelligence and wit to the fore. She was great fun.
We talked to AJ about her illness; her bravery and determination to carry on as normal, despite any setbacks that may arise, just reiterated her strength of character to us.
AJ will, without doubt, be sorely missed by all her family and friends, but such a lovely lady will never be forgotten.

Jacqueline was an integral part of our family life. We have so many happy memories of the times we spent together, the family holidays, outings, celebrations, Christmases, birthdays, lunches and lots and lots of dinners. She loved cooking and over the years and we have greatly enjoyed her hospitality. If anyone needed cheering up or she wanted to say thank you or sorry, it was always with one of her cakes. She was generous with her time and resources, kind and thoughtful. She was always very hospitable and welcoming even when I arrived on the way home from the park with a wet dog. She was stoic and determined, when her mobility was more restricted in recent times, she still made every effort to carry on as usual. She would get out on her mobility scooter to go up to the shops and then call in to us for a coffee on the way home with a treat or a bunch of flowers. I think she really came to see Timmy the dog, and when he looked pleadingly at her with his toy monkey in his mouth, she would go out into the garden with the aid of her walking stick to ‘chase’ him. She always won in the end, she couldn’t catch him but he could never resist a treat.  There was always a lot of noise from both of them and they loved it. I am going to miss her greatly and I know Timmy will too.

I will always remember spending quality time with Jacqueline, sister in law and friend. We went on holidays together to Bruges and Amsterdam and more recently to the South Coast, and she loved being with myself and Jekka the dog. We had many outings over the years, sometimes by coach, mainly by car, and always including lunch. I will miss her.
