Make yourself familiar with the angels, and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you.

On February 19th, we lost our beloved mother and grandmother who had been battling cancer over the past few months. She was a beautiful and caring person who loved her entire family very much. She spent her days knitting, reading and enjoying her cats. While we will miss her dearly, we know that heaven gained an amazing angel.

If you would like to honor Jackie's amazing life, please follow the link below to her Granddaughter's Relay for Life page to donate to the American Cancer Society. She loved helping others and would love nothing more for her friends and family to support the efforts in the fight against cancer.

Below is one of her favorite poems:

Life's Clock-
The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power
To tell just where the hands will stop at late or early hour.
To lose one's wealth is sad indeed; to lose one's soul is such a loss as no man can restore. The present only is our own. Live, love, toil with a will- place no faith in "tomorrow"- for the clock may then be still.

"Hard to believe it has been a whole year already since we said goodbye to my mother.  It has been difficult knowing that we can't just pick up the phone and call her but looking at all the wonderful pictures of her past have given me alot of joy and helps me to realize that our mother had some really good times with family and friends!  Thank you Jeff for putting your slideshow together -- it is wonderful!   And now our dog Casper is up in heaven too I hope he is keeping our mom company!  Love you and miss you mom very much!"

"Mom I already miss you SO much! I wish that I could have spent much more time with you! I wish that my fate did not separate us with so far a distance.
You will always be talked about as I meet new friends. My son will always hear your wisdom as I try to pass it to him. I will still ask you for help and advice. Look for me when my time comes, I will need you!"

"One Christmas, we gathered everyone in the living room to do a prayer before eating. This was my first time doing the prayer and it was extra special. I planned to propose to my (now) wife toward the end. As I took a knee and lifted the ring, I heard Jackie behind me say "what is he doing". I will never forget that. Love and Miss you Jackie. "To my dear mother -- I will miss you so much!  It was a blessing helping to take care of you this past week.  I only wish we had more time!  I had so much I wanted to talk to you about.  I will have to talk to you in Heaven now.  I was holding your hand when you passed - I think it was Grandma who came to get you!  You had such a bright sweet look in your eyes!  Love, Cindy"
