This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, our Dad and friend, James Kratochwil, 66, born on January 23, 1942 and passed away on April 5, 2008. We will remember him forever.

Please feel free to leave a tribute or share a story about our dad.  You may be asked for an email but rest assured, it is completely safe.  We dont want folks to forget Dad and encourage you to help us by remembering him and sharing with us.
He touched alot of lives and left us too soon.

James A. Kratochwil, a longtime resident of the area, entered into rest on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 66.

The son of the late Ralph and Eleanor Hill Kratochwil, he was born January 23, 1942 in Flushing Queens, NY. He was the widower of Annette Zgrodek Kratochwil.

James was a supervisor for Cintichem Medi-Physics of Tuxedo. He was also a member of the V.F.W. of Monroe, NY.

Survivors include his sons, James Kratochwil and wife, Maria of Georgia, and David Kratochwil and wife, Roberta of Modena, NY; daughter, Doreen Westerfield of Newburgh, NY; brothers: Philip Kratochwil of Wallkill, Jerome Kratochwil of Florida, Roger Kratochwil of Wallkill, and Robert Kratochwil of Wallkill; six grandchildren: James, Dean, Anthony, Taryn, Antoinette and Jamie; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Happy Birthday Daddy. I miss you and mom so much. I am having our morning egg together just wish it was with you and not just your picture. You and mom are in my thoughts everyday. I want to thank you both for looking out for me. I am so much better I am sure you see. Even though you both are gone I want you both to be proud of me on how far I have come. Please watch over David help him to stat well. It has been a big yr. You and mom would have been great grandparents to 2 beautiful little girls Tessa and Indy. I am sure you both have seen.

What up father? My god 13 years I'm without your knowledge and wisdom. Can't believe I made it this long. In other words I miss you very much . It must be like old times now .
