James Alvin Morgan, beloved father, uncle, brother, and big daddy went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday July 24, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

Born on September 28, 1949, James lived a fulfilling life and touched the hearts of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering sense of humor. 

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Morgan, mother Lena Morgan, brother Raymond Morgan, sister Faye Patterson, sister Peggy Watson, and Charlotte Morgan, the mother of three of his children. 

He is survived by four children, Deanne (Jason) Allred, DeAnn Morgan, Johnny (Fletcher) Lacy, Courtney (Joel) Collier, brother, Victor Morgan and nine grandchildren, Erin (Nathan) Bailey, Macie Allred, Alexandra Partridge, Kassandra Morgan, Hayden Allred, Landon Lacy, Piper Lacy, Addison Collier, Preston Collier and Betty Morgan, the mother of his daughter, DeAnn Morgan.

Those who had the privilege of knowing James, will remember him for his warm heart, funny jokes and sayings, as well as his unconditional love for family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of being a part of his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Life Baptist Church in McCalla, AL on Saturday August 5, 2023 at 1 pm for family, 2 pm for friends, with a 3 pm service.
