Thinking of Jimmy on this day and especially thinking of my sister Sita. I am so sorry you are without your life partner dearest sister. I hope Jimmy can be at peace knowing his beloved Sita is always loved and supported by friends and family. Love you always!

Jimmy was such a part of our family. There was not a kinder person on this earth. The memories that I will cherish forever not only because he was always capturing them with the camera but because he was a part of them. He truly made our moments special and I will forever be grateful. We think about him everyday whether we are cooking on our cast iron skillets that he gave us and coached us through taking care of properly, looking through our wedding album where he captured the night perfectly, or re-living our daughter's first trick or treat experience where he was right by our side. I will miss him forever but so grateful for the times we had together. Love you always Jimmy.

I knew Jimmy through my friendship with Sita, and I always enjoyed getting to hear his stories. Most were about golf and particularly the Masters and they were great. I’ll miss that he always would guess the hole we were on (and usually he was right) when I’d post pictures from golf. One story in particular made him legend in my family - in 2019 my family was coming to visit for Thanksgiving, and he insisted on smoking a brisket for my family for our thanksgiving dinner.  There aren’t many people as kind and selfless as Jimmy was and I’m grateful to have known him. All of my love to Sita and your family in this difficult time.

Jimmy was my life and love. I will miss him so very much. Please join me in celebrating his life on Thursday, June 10, 2021, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the County Line on the Lake.

My dear Jimmy came into the world August 30, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2021.

Jimmy grew up in Louisiana and loved his days hanging out with grandparents, and, when he got older, hunting and fishing with his nephews. His entire high school cheered in 1973 when the principal announced on the loudspeaker that Jimmy Guillot had been offered a scholarship to play football for his beloved Tigers at Louisiana State University (LSU). Jimmy graduated from LSU with a degree in accounting, became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and had a successful career as a CPA in both the great states of Louisiana and Texas.

Jimmy was known for his love of LSU football, photography, and smoking briskets for his friends and family. Jimmy loved his LSU football but happily became a Longhorn fan when we met. Anyone that knew Jimmy would be impressed by his memory to recall football stats. Of course he'd been a fan of the Saints and the Tigers since he was a little boy. But, he loved all football! His love of photography meant trips, parties, weddings or just a simple dinner with family and friends were always documented in a special way. I will always be grateful for the memories he created with his camera. Another love of Jimmy was smoking briskets, ribs, and all barbeque for his friends and family. He got a lot of joy seeing the people he loved enjoying his barbeque.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Sanford Joseph Guillot and Dora Giroir Guillot, and by his nephew John Gordon and niece Michelle Gordon.

Your memories of Jimmy will warm my heart so please share.

I will always love you and miss you my dearest Jimmy, my Bunkie. I'll always be Your Girl. Your loving wife, Sita

When I think of Jimmy, I see his big broad smile and twinkle in his eye as we walk towards each other to hug in greeting.  Our friendship with Jimmy and Sita began on the golf course and grew from there.  Always a fun time filled with stories and laughter.  Through the years they just became family.  Jimmy had a heart of gold and so generously shared his love of photography and cooking.  I will never forget the afternoon (literally, the whole afternoon) we spent throwing tennis balls in the pond for our golden retriever, Tucker.  Jimmy clicking away getting absolutely the most beautiful action photos.  He documented so many of our cherished family events.  We are forever grateful to have had Jimmy in our life.  We will treasure our many memories of times shared.  We miss you and will forever hold you close in our hearts, Jimmy … love you
