Today, I honor the memory of a remarkable man whose legacy continues to shape and inspire those he left behind. Eleven years may have passed since he left this world, but the essence of his spirit remains a guiding light for me, a testament to the unconditional love and profound teachings he imparted.

He was a man who, along with a cherished partner, created a foundation of love, strength, and joy that endures beyond their physical presence. Together, while separated by divorce, they nurtured a resilient soul, someone who embodies the very virtues they held dear. In the face of profound loss, this individual has carried forward the legacy of two extraordinary people, finding solace and strength in the very activities that were celebrated within our family—travel, art, food, and the simple, yet profound, pleasure of companionship.

This tribute is not just a reflection on loss but a celebration of life—of a man who taught by example that the essence of living is not merely in existing but in truly embracing the world with open arms and a curious heart. His teachings live on, not as echoes of the past, but as vibrant, living principles that continue to guide and influence.

To him, we owe the understanding that our worth is not diminished by the absence of those we love but is a tribute to their enduring influence in our lives. He, along with his beloved partner, instilled the strength to face the world with courage, the wisdom to find joy in the simple pleasures, and the passion to pursue happiness in every corner of the world even when the world was cruel to them.

Today, as we remember a man of exceptional character, let us also celebrate the indelible mark he has left on me—a legacy of love, resilience, and the pursuit of joy. In his memory, let us all be reminded to live fully, love deeply, and embrace the beauty of life, just as he did.

His spirit lives on, not just in memory, but in the actions and lives of those he loved. Through every journey taken, every piece of art admired, every meal savored, and every moment of laughter shared with friends and family, his legacy is woven into the fabric of their lives, a perpetual source of strength and inspiration.

To him, a tribute of gratitude and love, for in his teachings, we find the path to living a life filled with joy and purpose. May his memory be a blessing, today and always. Cheers dad!! Love you!!

Hi dad, spoke with Jeff a few weeks ago! So nice to catch up. I sent him some photos of uncle Kieth, grandma and childhood photos of you guys … thought you and your friends might enjoy seeing them too. I hope you, Kieth and Bo are stirrin up trouble and making grandma and grandpa laugh. … travels with grandma and grandpa must have been fun. I love the photos and so grateful I have them. I loved camping with them. Give them all hugs from me. Valerie

But I know you’re keeping a chair open for me up there , and looking out for me while I’m here. Raise your martini class and keep me in your prayers til we’re together again. All my love! Valerie

Jim's love of life, his energy will always be remembered. A true friend, always looking at the positives, especially in catastrophic dining events!, or on a dance floor. Life's paths and the journeys we take can at times separate persons, however, the energy shared and enjoyed always brings us back to great times in our memories and hearts. Will miss sharing the Florida sunshine, Jim, or Moo Goo Gai Pan! My heart goes out to your family, and thoughts for comfort and joy to all.

I would like to send my sympathy and condolences to his family and friends. I have a lot of good memories of dad from when Valerie and I were kids like the 1974 picture with Grandpa. Christmas mornings and vacations to Florida were always awesome and stand out. RIP
Love,
Chip

He enjoyed the simple things in life, a stroll on a beach, relaxing by the pool, or having a good meal at the Frog Pond with dear friends Hans & Katie. He was an ardent supporter of live and let live.  Per his wishes, no funeral or visitations will be scheduled. A family memorial will be held in Huntington sometime in April.

Happy 79th Heavenly Birthday

February 10, 2022
There is so much to say but first and foremost, Happy Heavenly Birthday.

I don't know why I've not posted on here before. I knew about the site but don't know if I ever had the link, that time in my life was such a blur. I have received the link from our dear friend Pat who gets a reminder yearly.

Our life together were some some of the best years of my life and I still think of you often with love in my heart and a tear in my eye.

I hope you are having a wonderful time with Clara and David, who are now with you; as well as my Mom, who is also with you.
There are only Pat, Rich and I left from our weekly dinner group who talk, frequently, about our yearly trips to Key West and what good memories we were able to make on those trips. I have posted a picture from one of those trips with the three heavenly musketeers in the front row. Big Ruby's is no longer there and hasn't been for many years now. I think the complex is still there but it is no longer Big Ruby's. That is the location of the posted picture of the six of us.

Well, to close for now, Happy Heavenly Birthday, Jim, my partner in life and love for nearly 19 years. We will soon all be together once again.

Love,
Jack
