Obituary
James Edward Collins, 75, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. He was of the Pentecostal Faith, a member of Corner Stone Ministry and was a former self-employed coal miner. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Pearl Collins and a brother, Larry Collins. Surviving are his wife, Faye Collins; four sons, Douglas Collins, Stephen Collins, Ronnie Salyers and John Salyers and wife Christy; two daughters, Rhonda Stidham and Angela Fields and husband John; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his father, Darrell Collins; three brothers, Coy Collins and wife Ann, Jerry Collins and wife Erma and Roy Collins and wife Dorothy; three sisters, Marlene Mullins and husband Greg, Lillian Mullins and husband Roy and Judy Maggard and husband Danny; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for James Edward Collins will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Jeff Reynolds and Pastor Darrell Bolling officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Big Stone Gap, VA. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
