James Edward Morris, 70, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at his home.
He was born on September 1, 1948 in Granville County, son of the late James Thomas Morris and Peggy Frazier Morris.  He was a member of Tally Ho Baptist Church and was a retired supervisor at Lace Lastics in Oxford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Tally Ho Baptist Church by Rev. Eddie Nutt.  Burial will be in South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Linda Riley Morris of the home; a daughter, Gloria Clayton (William) of Butner; four step-children, Jimmy Ramsey, Tammy Simpson, Amy Dickerson all of Oxford and JoAnn Carreto of Stovall; two sisters, Joyce Terry, Penny Autrey; three brothers, Raymond Morris, Richard Morris and Mike Morris; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Talley Ho Baptist Church and at other times at the home.

Just recently i was sharing an "Eddie Morris Story" with folks. Although I have not seen Eddie for many years, he was a great part of our class at Wilton School. So sorry to hear of his passing. Blessings to all of you.
