Neighbors helping Neighbors

January 10, 2011

George and I were walking our dogs around the neighborhood last summer and met James digging up his mailbox post.  We talked to him for a while and then realized that the post must be in concrete.  George handed me the leash he was holding and asked James for the shovel.  He assured George that he could handle it, but George insisted that he needed the exercise and wanted to do the digging and got up the post and concrete.

Until the day he had the stroke, he was working hard.  Taking care of his own home wasn't enough.  He and Nancy insisted on helping their daughter take care of hers an they helped others whenever they could.

Nancy cared for all of the dogs in the neighborhood, giving them dog biscuits as she walked around the neighborhood.  They were a wonderful couple and we pray that Nancy, Regina, and the rest of the family always feel the presence of Jesus and his arm around them lifting them up with His Love.

God Bless You all      George and Pat Wright.
