Mr. Hart was born Wednesday, November 29, 1933, in Lanett, Alabama, the son of the late Annie Bell Carter and James O. “Bill” Hart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawmut, where he was a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, RA Director and choir member. Mr. Hart was a graduate of Lanett High School and Southern Union College. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Hart was an avid fisherman, loved Alabama and Auburn football, and was a member of the Cracklin Cloggers and Square Dancers.
Survivors include his brother, Gerald Wayne (Doris) Hart of Sevier, Tennessee; his nephews, Spencer L. Johnson of Valley and Roger Wayne Hart of Sevierville, Tennessee; his cousins, Lamar and Hazel Smith of West Point and Judy Ware of Cummings, Georgia; special friends, James and Hazel Henson of Pine Mountain and Nicki Glover of West Point. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynell Martin Hart.
