James Holt Young, 85 a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at his home.
A native of Warren County, the son of the late Thomas Palmer Young and Maggie Kimbell. He was a active member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and was retired from Murdoch Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church by Rev. Don Owen, Rev. Steve Kirk and Bryan Autrey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of sixteen years, Barbara Boyd Young of the home, a special niece Joyce McFalls (Scottie), several nieces and nephews, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
