His Life

James Horace Stafford , the son of the late Mr. Osborn Stafford and Eva Lee Jackson Stafford born in Troup County, Georgia on May 22, 1949. James, answering our Heavenly Father’s call, entered into God’s eternal kingdom on Friday, April 15, 2016 at his residence in West Point, Georgia surrounded by his loved ones. He entered a land where there will be no pain and suffering.

James joined Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age. He was a product of Harrison High School, graduating Class of 1968. He was employed with Peabody Corporation and West Point Foundry for many years until his health failed.

It-Low” as he was affectionately known to many touched lives with his trademark sense of humor calling everyone he came in contact with “Ugly Face”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Tony, Willie Stafford; brother-in-law, Walter Cherry.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, Georgia Stafford of West Point, GA.; one son, Coty (SheJuania) Tucker, of Atlanta, GA.; two grandson, Amari Shakur Bethel and Jonathan Lamar Tucker of Atlanta, GA; his loving nine sisters, Geneva, Janice Cherry (his twin), Lavone Dawson, Carrie, Katherine, Mary, Katie Stafford, Evelyn Stafford (Walter) Dunn all of West Point, GA; Wanda (David) Bradberry of Savannah, GA.; two brothers, Jessie and John Stafford of West Point, GA.; three aunts, Rose Devance, Mary Evans and Ruby Jackson, of Lanett, AL; step-daughter, Yolanda Johnson of West Point, GA; god sister, Gwendolyn Jones of West Point, GA; one god brother, William Cumberlander of West Point, GA; special great-nephew, CJ Ramsey who he loved as his own; precious memories of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
