James Howard Jackson, 74, died Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Jim was born on August 24, 1943 in Gallipolis, Ohio, the son of Howard J. and Ruth L. Jackson, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Charleston, West Virginia High School, earned a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from The University of Michigan. He was a designer of super computers and holder of seven patents. Jim was co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Pyxys, Inc., co-founder and Chief Scientist of Wavetracer, Inc. and a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carole, son Brad and wife Cobb Huggins of Bullock, their sons Rett and Nick, son Craig of San Francisco, CA, and many loving relatives and friends.
Jim will be sadly missed.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

James was my cousin. He lived with us for 3 years while his father was overseas serving in WWII. I remember going to his house later where he had an elaborate train set up in a whole room. It was so much fun. He was brilliant and will be missed. Condolences to his wife, Carole, and sons Brad and Craig.
