This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, James “Jimmy” Pickett 64 years old , born on July 26, 1943 and passed away on April 5, 2008. He was proceded in death, by his mother and father, Nanny R. Pickett and James W. Pickett and his twin sister Nancy P. Patterson.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Treva Pickett, Daughters and Sons-in-law, Tammy and Wayne Moore, Lequanna and Mark Sayers a son Darrell Pickett. His grandchildren, Jessie, Courtney, Logan, Katie, Travis, Zach, Warren, Taylor and Samuel, and his Nephew, Duane Ayers. Also his special companion, Bitsy.

My Daddy drove an 18 wheeler most all his life and the last job he had was hauling cattle and he ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. Daddy let us know he wanted his final ride from the funeral home to be in a cattle hauler, and I made sure that happened. Todd Pruitt took the hauler and had it cleaned and he was  at the funeral home before anyone else. The day of my Daddys funeral was by far one of the hardest days of my life, but watching my daddy be placed in the back of that hauler, put a small smile on my face because he was taking his last ride the exact way he wanted and I knew he was smiling and  I  knew for the final time I had made my 1ST LOVE, MY HERO, MY DADDY PROUD.....

Daddy I miss you so much. I would love to go fishing and sit and talk. I remember when I was young and we would go fishing, I was more about catching more fish than you but after I was grown I realized it didn't matter who caught the most or the biggest, it was about the time we was spending together. A few years after you passed, I was listening to the radio and a song came on and all I could do was cry. It was SHE THINKS WE'RE JUST FISHING. funny part, my man Trace Atkins sings it, but I know you would love it because it is so the 2 of us....... I love you Daddy and I hope you are catching big ones up in heavens lake......
