His Life

He was born on Monday, June 20, 1938 to Bernice and Eugene Brown in Chambers County. He graduated from Five Points High School in 1956. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1963. He worked with and retired from West Point and LaGrange Coca Cola Company. He also worked at Kimble’s Catering and Vending in LaGrange for over 20 years. He was a hard and dedicated worker, hardly ever missing days of work. He loved his country, was very patriotic and loved serving his country as an Army soldier. Jimmy loved sports, especially the Atlanta Braves. He never missed watching a game. He was proud to be a Christian. He was a member of Father’s House Fellowship in Opelika, AL. Lois was the love of his life. He loved his family, his children and grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Brown; a son, Alan (Tina) Brown; a grandson, Nicholas (Darian) Brown; 3 granddaughters, Breanna, Alayna, and Selena Brown; two brothers, Joe (Becky) Brown and Ken (Melanie) Brown; brother in law, Dwain Reeves; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Bernice Brown and sister, Elnora Brown.
