We met James for the first time at Kristin and Rob's Wedding about 13 years ago and have followed his life, as if he were immediate family. Our contact with him has been very spotty over the subsequent years, but I remember him to be one of the most engaging young men I ever met. Long after we parted ways, I repeated my exclamations that he "was so fun to talk to and so full of life".
James had a way about him....an aura...a glow that few people posses. We came to learn over the years that we were not the only ones to see this special spirit. We learned that he had amassed a wide collection of friends and acquaintances; all of whom basked in his glow. I can only feel for those close to him; his family, his friends and his work acquaintances....those who will no longer be able to warm themselves by his fire. God does not make many of these special people and when they are called, it is tortuous to those left behind.
May he be smiling in Heaven with that big, endearing, electric smile...and when some of the sorrow subsides, may his memory continue to bring happiness to those he left behind. May God bless his life, his soul, and his family.
