It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Couch announce his passing on Jan. 15, 2019 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Jim was born in Dayton, Ohio 68 years ago and he is preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Rhonda Couch, his sisters Margo Gavarian and Anita Blankenship.
Jim was retired from the USPS after 28 years of service. He was a practicing Buddhist and a vegetarian. He enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, playing the guitar, and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife Shannon Couch, children Naomi Couch, Kelly Couch / Veronica, and son Phillip Couch. Grandchildren Corey / Sarah Couch, Jorden Gillespie / Christina, and Skylur Dixion. Step-children Tamara, Preston and Alexa Watts. Also brothers David Griffith of FLA. and Brion Griffith of Chicago, and numerous grandchildren. BFF’s Karen Oberkrom, Kay Meyer and David Perry.
In keeping with Jim’s wishes there is no service but a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
