James was born and raised in Oak Grove, AL and spent most of his life in and around the Birmingham area.

From the time he could walk it seems as if he has been working on cars. He was a remarkable mechanic who could fix anything that had an engine. He worked for Express Oil for over 20 years. He continued to work as a mechanic for Randy’s Automotive for another 10 plus years before recently working as a industrial painter for Ace painting.

He was an outdoors man that enjoyed a good fishing hole, cutting grass, the occasional hunt, trips to the beach, swimming in the river, being in the mountains, and of course a good days worth of porch sitting. Over all these years James has had many animals and has always enjoy the company of a man’s best friend.

He would find all kinds of treasures everywhere in town and fix them up or keep them as antiques. He enjoyed rebuilding things and constantly had a project going on.

It is though there was nothing James couldn’t fix or do when he put his mind to it.

James was a friend to all that met him. His easy going and fun loving spirit made it easy to be with. He was always up for a good time and sharing old stories and laughs with his family and friends.

He will be remembered for his kind spirit, beautiful laugh, and love of living an independent, hard headed, outlaw wild man way of life that he did!

He was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church with long-standing family members. He is survived by his daughter Raianna Paige Snider Wilson, his Aunt Florence Kolb, His cousin (brother) Mike Blackston(Tac), and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion & Theolene Trussell, Howard & Virgie Snider, and his parents, Jerry Ray & Gloria Ann Snider(Trussell).

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be given to the Mud Creek Baptist Church Cemetery via check or cash for the continued blessing that it is to have them stow upon our loved ones in their final resting place.
