HANCOCK, James Weldon born July 7, 1942, and it is with great sadness that the family of  James (Jim) Weldon Hancock announces his unexpected passing on Thursday June 21, 2018 at the age of 75. 

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Linda and children, Sandra (Ed) McCormick, James Jr. (Malinda) Hancock, Donnette (Shawn) Rowton, Del (Christy) Qualls, and David Qualls. Jim will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Edward, Whitney, Brandi, James, Sara, Shane, Brandon, Kassie, Frankie, Adrienne, Brandon and Davy and his 8 great grandchildren. His siblings Georgia Woodward, Donnie Charles, Dallas (Suzi) Sweigart and Faustina Miller. Jim was preceded by his mother, Kathleen Sweigart and sister Ruby McIntyre.
