James W. Kesterson III, 44, of Millville, NJ passed away on Monday, August 23rd, surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born in Vineland to the predeceased James and Louise Kesterson on July 21, 1977. He was a graduate of Millville High School class of 1995. An employee of The Department of Corrections, Jimmy worked as a Corrections Officer at South Woods State Prison until his recent retirement. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast who had a great appreciation of reading, music, and solitude. Jimmy will be fondly remembered for his unique humor and generous heart.
Surviving relatives include a brother, Wallace Shope and his spouse, Kelly Shope of Franklinville, and a sister, Rhonda Shope of Millville. Jimmy was the loving uncle of Morgan, Shannon, and Geyer as well as the great uncle of Nicolette. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private service will be held as per Jimmy's wishes. Arrangements are by Fertig Funeral Home 63 North Main Street, Mullica Hill.

Couldn't ask for a better cousin. Remembering when I used to take him out for burgers, pizza, and pinball when he was little. We stayed close until he passed. I'm devastated and will miss him forever.
