James Patrick Wilkins, 88, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Friday, August 24th 2012, at his home.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Thaddeus James and Mary Daniel Wilkins. He was a member of Tally Ho First Baptist Church and retired from farming.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, August 27th 2012 at Tally Ho First Baptist Church by Rev. Eddie Nutt and Rev. Robert Oliver.

Burial will be at Tally Ho First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years Frances Ellis Wilkins of the home, a daughter, Christy Wilkins Campbell (Keith), a son, Terry P. Wilkins (Cyndi), a brother Robert Wilkins (Myrt), four grandchildren, Ariel Wilkins, Michaela Wilkins, Jonathan Wilkins, Jimmy Campbell and a beloved cat, Kit-Kat, all of Stem.

Visitation  7:00-8:30 PM Sunday evening , August 26th 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home.
