James William Vaughan, 82, a long-time resident of Granville and Vance County, passed away Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Granville Medical Center.

He was a native of Granville County and was the son of the late Luther Vaughan and Nannie Pearl Cash. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired foreman at Harriet of Henderson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Pastor Milton Abbott.. Burial will be private.

Surviving are six daughters, Cindy Trammell, Tonya Bullock and Stephanie Joyner all of Henderson, Victoria Willard of Spencer, Va., Wendy Tanner of Easley, SC and Emily Vaughan of Oxford, two sons, , Keith Vaughan of Henderson and Anthony Clark of Greenville, SC., one brother, Lawrence Vaughan of Oxford, twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by a son, Nicky Stewart Vaughan, five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, Friday, May 11th, 2018 prior to the service and other times at the home.

House plants requested or memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
