His Life

The son of the late James, Sr. and Mary Covin Worth, Sgt. Worth was born in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia, and was a 23 year Vietnam Veteran of the United StatesĀ Army. He was a faithful attendant of the various Protestant Chapels within the Ft. Benning Community. He was a Modern Free and Accepted Mason. He was preceded in death by two children, Dawn T. Worth and Elvin Simmons, and a sister, Linda Atwater.

Surviving his departure with cherished memories, include: his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Mary Smith Worth; three sons, James A. Worth III, Merrick Reddings (Rita) and Michael Simmons; three daughters, Mary Ann Worth, Tammy A. Reddings and Toni Marie Howard; beloved grand and great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Worth, Sr. (Patricia); three sisters, LaVerne Scuruggs (Jesse), Annette Morgan, and Recina Batson; in-laws, Beverly K. Lusane (Phillip), Roberta Whitaker and David Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
