The thing I remember most about Jamey was his quiet steadiness. I was nervous about seeing him the first time after his diagnosis, but I was so impressed by his equanimity. While I'd have been raging against the dying of a light too soon, Jamey thought only of the things he wanted to get done from taking Caeley to Disney to getting the house finished for Kim.

Having known Jamey for each of those 12 years he fully embodied this beautiful memorial. He devoted his attention, energy and love to a few simple things which he enjoyed more than anything.
