Janice B. Bryant (“Jan”), age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 7, 2012, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tacoma, WA, due to complications after surgery.  She was born the 11th of 14 children on December 24, 1934, in Fairfield, Idaho to Allen and Alta Wells.  She graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1952.  Jan served her country honorably during her enlistment in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1955, and was also crowned Miss McChord as part of the Tacoma Fun Fair event of 1955.  She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  During the course of raising a family, Jan attended Clover Park Vocational College, where she earned a degree in accounting, and worked hard in that field for many years.  She was gifted at building a nest-egg so that she could enjoy a long retirement with her husband of 56 years.

Jan is survived by her husband Larry, their son and his wife Mike and Janet, daughter and her husband Sheri and Giuseppe Liguori, grandson Marcello Liguori, granddaughter Lauren Bryant, sisters Dottie Messner and Nadine White, brothers Bill Wells and Phil Wells, and her sponsored child, Fajar Aji Prabowo.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 21st at Mountain View Memorial Park (Garden Chapel).  A reception will follow the service for family and friends.  Her remains will be cremated, and her final resting place will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Mary Bridge Hospital.
