Let the memory of Jan be with us forever
  • 92 years old
  • Born on January 20, 1919 in Poland.
  • Passed away on January 2, 2012 in Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom.

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Jan Wojcik, 92, born on January 20, 1919 and passed away on January 2, 2012. We will remember him forever.

Jan Wojcik was born in Poland, but after the war lived and stayed in Derby. He was born on Monday 20th January 1919 and sadly passed away on Monday 02nd January 2012.

He is much loved and will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

He lived a long life (92 years) with his Lovely Wife Iris and helped her bring up 7 lovely children, Ray (oldest), Sylvia, Alan, Janet, Jan, Tracy and Maria (youngest).

On 23rd June 1989 Iris sadly passed away at the age 59. By then they had grown up but still Jan brought them up and had a great long life with them that will never be forgotten. He would always talk about Iris, and his young life (at war) and would always help people out with anything.

He will always be missed, loved, thought, and spoke about. He was so strong for everything he did even up to the last minute.

if you want to leave a message/tribute, please, help yourself. Thank you.

R.I.P. Jan Wojcik <3

Missing you Dad. You would have loved being with us all this year. So many wonderful new memories that we would have loved to share with you and Mum. You'd be so very, very proud of your family. We're still close and share so many great times, just wish you were still with us but hope that you feel all of our love, where ever you are x

Dad, I still smile when ever one of your sayings come out, I still smile whenever I see your big toothless grin on a picture of you some with your medals but most without them. I miss our silly talks & miss your musings about your life, mainly about Mom & many about the younger you. I wish we could have talked more before you were cruly taken before our convocations finished, maybe we will finish them another time, I can only hope so. My Dad a man to admire.xxxx

Another year without you. But I can honestly say, you're thought about every day. Some days bring sorrow and some bring smiles but every day brings back memories of how lucky I was to have you for my dad. Love you always Janet x

Today would have been your birthday Dad. When you were still here with us, we would all gather around you at the club. You would love to sit there listening to us chatter and reminisce about our childhood. I sit here remembering you chasing butterflies in the garden, Thursday night was always chocolate night, but you had to be quick or else you were left with the Twix or Mars Bar. I think about you with a smile today, you were a great dad. Love you always ♥ .
