Around 12 years ago, my husband, one year old daughter and I  were walking through our growing neighborhood checking out the new phases to the development.  We were coming up to the newest part when all of a sudden I saw this huge dog that seemed to be straight from the cast of Cujo running straight toward my daughter.  I can't begin to explain the sheer horror that shot through me.  All of a sudden I caught the image of a petite woman with the brightest eyes and most beautiful smile I had ever seen pounce on this baby-eater just in the knick of time.  I was instantly captivated!  Of course, the baby-eater ended up being the most docile lab I have ever had the pleasure to meet.  I thank God for "Casey" because he was the catalyst that began the most amazing friendship I have ever had!  Through the years, Janel and I spent countless hours together laughing, crying, venting, gossiping, planning, shopping, well... the list goes on and on!  The moments spent with her have been some of the best of my life.  She has been like a mother to my daughters and the best friend I could have ever asked for.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my dear friend has begun enjoying her eternity in heaven with the many loved ones that moved on before her.  I also know that I will see her again soon.  I love you Janel.
