Happy Birthday dear Janene. I am sure you are dancing and singing in celebration with your Grandpa G, with whom you share your birthday (who left us in Oct of 1995). Like you, he loved music and was a great dancer.
Think of you both, far more than you know, and miss you still.

Your Dad and I were remembering you last evening, the anniversary of your passing, with a few tears and warm thoughts. I visit him regularly and he speaks of you every visit. He has your photos on the shelf in his bedroom and looks at them daily. You are remembered always with loving thoughts and sadly missed by all of us. I hope you are dancing with the angels and have found all of your/our family members, along with all of our pets, to "hang out" with. Bet you and Grandpa G had a great time sharing your birthdays on Feb 7th!. Love you, Janene. Aunt Judy

Happy Birthday Jeanie. Saw your resting place yesterday all covered in fresh white snow. I miss you. I sent my little Stormy to you so take care of her. I hope you found Jim when he arrived so now both of you can cuddle with Stormy.

Thinking today of my lovely niece on this day of her birth (which she shared with her Grandfather, my Dad). I am certain they are celebrating together, along with all the other loved ones from both sides of the family who have gone before us. Loved always, missed forever.

To my beautiful baby sister. I hope you have found grandma and grandpa in your travels through the stars. Your star was very bright last night when I was looking at you which I take as a smile back to me. Wish you were here. Your teddy gets a squeeze daily as if I was hugging you in person!

I have many fond memories of Janene, a beautiful, sweet girl...beloved niece...who I knew best as a small child. Sadly I lived provinces away while she grew into a young woman and I missed out on so much of our family life. I know she suffered greatly for so long, while those who loved her, unable to save her, suffered along with her. It is comforting to know she dances with the angels, free from pain and surrounded by other angels....her grandparents and aunt(s)/uncles who also loved her. Her birthday on February 7th is always remembered, doubly so as she shared her birthday with her Grandpa Gaebel (my Dad).  "Always remembered with love, sweet niece."

she would have turned 50 this year. Hard to believe. In the arms of the angels, she finds comfort, I'm sure.

I met Janene in high school, I think it was a shop class, woodworking or welding maybe, we were the only 2 girls. We kept in touch throughout the years. In her later years she would always call me when she was making a list, whether it was for groceries or something she wanted to do that week, just to make sure everything was spelled correctly. She would ride her big blue tricycle over to my place after she lost her license, for a visit. She was a kind sole with a great sense of humor. I miss her.

Janene pops into my head often. There are many songs that make me think of her, Raise a Little Hell, that one that Bryan Adams and the Spice Girl did (I remember searching around for that album with her when it came out), Lover of Mine by Allanah Miles and I Love Rock N Roll to name a few. I think of her when I see crazy socks. I think of her when I see fanny packs. I think of her when I see blue Labello chapsticks. We celebrate her every year and we smile and laugh as we share our favourite stories. We won't forget her xo.
