Auntie Jan, my godmother, and a kind support. I know she will have supported many. Her strength was exceptional, as was her love of her family. I have warm memories of staying when I was a child, and her children were small, being taken on lovely walks and picnics. Her humour, and 'I know how to solve this' attitude, was one of the first memories I have of her, making up 'the humphreys' at dinner time when I would not eat... her tapping out tiny footsteps under the table with her fingers and exclaiming 'quick Jenny, the Humphreys are coming to eat your food!'... It worked, and made me laugh. I am so happy to have been at her wedding as a child, a lovely day, and then to have had the lovaliest time with her and Adrian at my Civil Partnership in 2014, dancing together. She danced with the same enthusiasm she did for everything she cared about. Annual coffee catchups around the Edinburgh festival with her, Keith and Libby, were always a pleasure. Always asking how my eldest daughter was, and Im so very thankfull she met my second daughter at christmas 2018. Undoubtebly one of the strongest most independent women I will ever have the pleasure of knowing, loving, and missing, along with her moth(er), always with us xxx
