It is with great sadness that we announce the death or our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend Janet Pessa of Rosemead, CA on December 15, 2013. Janet slipped away in the early morning hours with her loving children by her side.  Janet was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Evelyn, husbands George and Jean, her brother Francis, sister in laws Ginger, Jacqueline, Micheline, Paulette, brothers in law Ray and Richie, and several nieces and nephews.  Janet is survived by her Daughter Linda (Pete) Sealey of Covina, Son Larri Pessa of Pasadena, Granddaughter Laura (David) Williams of Saskatoon, SK, Grandson Gregory Sealey of West Covina, Great Grandchildren Joshua, Cruz and Samantha, and her brother Walter Crase of North Fort Myers FL.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many loving friends who include Joan, Mimi, and Winnie all of which remained friends since childhood. 

Janet worked hard throughout her life enjoying a long lasting career at Miller Dial, followed by a career and business ownership alongside her son.  Janet enjoyed many years of retirement and the simple things in life that included road trips to Las Vegas, Sunday lunch outings with family and friends, and day outings to many of California’s places of interest.  She also occasionally enjoyed a game of scrabble with her lifelong friend Joan. Janet was also a supporter of all the Rosemead alley cats as they visited her house for breakfast and dinner much to her family’s dismay.   During one of the periods of Janet’s life when her granddaughter lived with her she was introduced to the wonderful world of the internet.  Janet became a fixture in many of our internet lives; she enjoyed many jokes, comics, and connections she made with social media and emails.  The internet kept Janet connected to her friends and family later in her life when she was unable to get out and visit as much as she used too.  She was always tickled pink to get an email, comment, or seeing new pictures her friends and family would post. 

Janet will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends.  There will be a celebration of life at her daughter Linda’s house on February 8, 2014.  Please contact the family for more information.
