Janet Cox Riggan, 79, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, April 7th at Universal Healthcare in Oxford.

She was the daughter of the late Dallas Pervis and Ella Bell Cox. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Burlington Industries.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 10th 2012 in Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford by Albert Capps.

Surviving are a daughter, Robin Riggan Wiggins of Charlotte, two granddaughters, Sandy Riggan Woody of Oxford, Kelly Riggan Demos of Dublin, Ohio and three great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jack and Maddie. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard L. Riggan, a son, Kenny H. Riggan, and her sister, Elsie Cox Bass.

Omission of flowers is requested and contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609.

Visitation  12:30-2:00 PM Tuesday, April 10th 2012 prior to the graveside service at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.

Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Riggan family.
