I met Jane 10 years ago at Eden Medical Intensive Care Unit. As a brand new nurse, straight out of school and on a busy ICU floor, I found out very quickly that I was faced with so many obstacles and challenges every day. But, I was so grateful that Jane, an experienced ICU nurse, took me under her wing when I first started. She guided me on the right path, and groomed me to be a sound professional. Her warm, compassionate heart had helped mold me into the nurse I am today. I would not be where I am without her.
Jane's well- loved by us at work, because she possesses so many amirable qualities: Integrity, courageness, compassionate, kindness, optimism... Jane taught me so many things in life. Throughout the years, she took time to listen, and provided words of encouragement and guidance. She's a great colleague, mentor and friend.
Jane loved being a nurse. But, she loved being Eileen and Daniel's mom more than anything else. Jane's very proud of her children and loved to shared about their achievements. Eileen and Daniel's success had been an immense source of her happiness.
I am honored and blessed to have known Jane Kong. Her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in my heart. May she rest in peace!
