Tributes
Leave a tributeYour wife Bob and your mother Charlotte, Richard and Robert was my best friend for forty plus years. She was such a caring person and loved her family with all her being. She was so creative and talented in many ways. She loved making things for her family and yes for me too. She always remembered my birthday and special occasions with a card. She was truly a great friend. I am very lucky to have had such a great friend and I shall miss her every day. A few days before she passed I had spoken to her and she had said she was so glad to talk with me because she could forget her pain for awhile. I had no idea that would be our last conversation. You are all so very lucky you had that terrific woman in your life. You were truly blessed. I am also blessed to have had her in my life for all those years. She would not want you to be sad but to be happy and live life as if she were still with you. She has no more pain and is walking on the streets of heaven looking down upon all of us and saying dry your tears and think of me with happiness. Love to all of you Marie
When I'm Gone
When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done,
Forget that I ever had a heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun.
Forget that I have stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought
Some hard battles and won,
Ere the close of the day,
Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay
And come in the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west,
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.

Our deepest sympathies for your loss.
So sorry to hear of your moms passing.I didn’t have the pleasure of actually knowing her, though talking to you about all there travels and everyday life I felt I did know her.

She was such a pleasure to have known and such a blessing to many people over the many years she lived in Alaska. I hope to visit her some day in her new mansion.

I met Janice and Bob many years ago as Janice and I worked for the Sheriff’s Department in the desert. I will always remember her humor and infectious smile. My wife and I were privileged to visit them in Alaska where we were feted with a Cook family gathering including most of the family and some excellent food. Years later I again visited them with my son Tony at their home I Las Vegas. Again the Cook warmth and great food. We kept in touch over the years via electronic media. Janice was much better at that than I. I pray for her and the family regularly and will always cherish the memories. Rest In Peace my friend.
