Walt, Debbie, Wendy, Sheri, Joanne, and your families, please know that Kim and I share in your grief and extend our deepest condolences. Janice, Joanne and I were together often during our high school & young adult years. Frequently, I was at their house on Van Meter Terrace & their beach house; her Mom & Dad always made me feel welcomed in their home and I have so many good memories of the fun times we shared. When I think of Janice, these words that describe her come to mind: cheerful smile, lots of laughter, ornery, spunky, a fantastic field hockey & basketball player, and big sports fan!! We had fun boating and water skiing; she loved the beach and always had a gorgeous tan (real & fake)! I treasure the good times we shared and I'm so thankful Janice was in my life. She was a loving wife, Mom, Gram, daughter, sister, and Aunt; in-time, fond memories you all shared with her will help ease the sorrow you feel today. I am so glad all of you got to give her a final gift by surrounding her with lots of love and caring support; I am sure it was very comforting to your Mom; she was blessed . And now, she is with our Heavenly Father and all of her loved-ones who passed before her; she is at peace. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her; please know that others share in your loss and are here if you need us! She will live in our hearts forever. God comfort all of you at this sad time; so sorry. Hugs & Love, Valerie Owens-Weigel The Villages, FL

Dear Walt, Debbie, Wendy and Sheri,

It’s been quite some time since I have been in touch with you all. I communicated with your mom on Facebook many years ago when I was on social media. I believe they were living in Florida at the time enjoying the beach life. My cousin Deb told me about Janice’s struggle just days before she passed. I am so sorry to hear this news. I always remember her as a vibrant spirit growing up. Whether it was our Salem Oak cheers days or just hanging out with Brittany and Beth at Joanne’s House, you guys were always around. My heart is so heavy for all of you. Your family bond is very strong and your mother was well loved. May you find peace in the days to come. Janice’s light, virtue and values will continue shine in all of you (her biggest accomplishment).

Sincerely,
Paula Keegan (Moriarty)
