My beautiful friend we are going to miss you so much rest assured Maddie will always have the love support friendship for the rest of her life !!!!! I will treasure our friendship the memories lunches, Charlie’s Bay Head , Candlewood Pool club, six Flags, Longhorn, Ivy League, Seasons , annual point beach boardwalk class fun, our special angels from kindergarten, so many laughs , talking about Ireland and meeting there one day. always a great time with Vilija and Maddie Emily & Alva . In addition to Brianna planning the SvVS get together. Up until the end driving Maddie to meet with friends. Above all you loved Maddie and she was your whole world. Till we meet again fly high angel and send us some Irish shenanigans will be looking for you in the beauty of each day. In Memory of Janine Joanne Darcy (nee Galvin)

Janine Joanne Darcy (nee Galvin), 55, of Jackson, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Queens, New York and resided in Queens, New York, County Kerry Ireland, and Freehold, New Jersey prior to settling in Jackson, NJ.  
Janine was employed as a secretary at Mother Seton Academy/St. Veronica’s School for 2 years, prior she worked at Waterford Crystal, Wall, NJ and Prudential Securities, New York, NY.
Janine was predeceased by her father Thomas Michael Galvin, her maternal and paternal grandparents.  She is survived by her Husband of 21 years, Brian K. Darcy, and her daughter Madison Grace of Jackson, NJ, her mother Mary (Maunsell) Galvin of Freehold, NJ, her sisters Mary Dowling, her husband Francis of Jackson, NJ, and Catherine Darcy, her husband Richard of Freehold, NJ.  Her brothers John Galvin, his wife Barbara of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Galvin, his wife Patricia of Jackson, NJ, and Patrick Galvin, his wife Jolyn of Summerville, SC, her Mother and Father-in-law Geraldine and Richard Darcy of Berkeley Township, and brothers-in-law Scott and Stephen Darcy.  Also missed by her adoring nephews and nieces, Daniel, Patrick, Conor, Keira, Joseph, Sean, Caitlin, Amanda, Victoria, Michael, Rebecca and Emily, and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Ireland and the United States.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 2-5 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6250 US-9 South, Howell Township, NJ 07731.  A funeral gathering will be offered on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at 9:00 at the funeral home for family and close friends.  Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 am at St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church, 4219 US-9 North, Howell Township, NJ 07731.  Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold, NJ 07728.

Dear, sweet Janine was respected and appreciated by all ~ I remember particularly during our time at Waterford, her absolute joy at becoming a mother and her absolute joy when her precious daughter was born~ her happiness was so special that I’ve never forgotten.
