Jaris Thomas (A.K.A. Money) was born in Saco, Alabama on February 22, 1934 to Johnny and Cloatee Thomas. Mr. Jaris Thomas died in Dayton, Ohio on March 8, 2022. He was 88 years old. Jaris married Dorothy R. Evans Thomas on June 4, 1960. Together they had one child, Jaris Curtis Thomas. He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Thomas, mother Cloatee Thomas, his brothers Lamar and Brady, and sisters Inez, Lois, and Doris. Jaris is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Jaris Curtis Thomas and one brother, Robert (Brenda) Thomas and their daughter Brenae, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Jaris was an employee of General Motors, he retired after 35+ years of service. He loved cars, motorcycles, blues festivals, music and spending time with his brother Robert, Patricia (Pocahontas) Higgins and Dawn Woods. He enjoyed going out for a drink with family and friends. He made a long lasting impression on many lives. Special thank you to the Grace Hospice and Shiloh Springs Care Center, including Cheryl Ward and Matthew Anderson, Chaplain. Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 1 pm at the Spaghetti Warehouse, 36 W. Fifth Street, Dayton, Ohio.
