On Sunday, May 3, 2020, Jarrad Wilson Verdier of Palmyra, MO, loving son, brother, and friend passed away at the age of 19 due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

Jarrad was born July 31, 2000, in Hannibal, MO to Richard and Jane Ann (Wilson) Verdier. He graduated from Monroe City High School in 2018 and went on to complete the heavy
equipment operations program at State Technical College of Missouri in 2019. He was
employed by Emery Sapp & Sons as an equipment operator.

He is survived by his parents Richard and Jane Ann, of Palmyra, MO; two sisters, Kelsey Verdier of Hannibal, MO and Miranda Verdier of Palmyra, MO along with one brother Chad Verdier of Palmyra, MO. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Francis Jane (McMillen) Wilson (Joe Butler) of Pittsfield, IL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jarrad was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Hadley and Dorothy (Fry) Verdier, maternal grandfather Barney Wilson, and half-brother, Joshua Verdier.

Jarrad was always up to a challenge or just a good time. He had a great passion for heavy equipment early in life which drove him to his career choice. He was also passionate about kayaking, fishing, hunting, baseball, and becoming the best chef he could be. One of his many proudest moments was the purchase of his truck. He enjoyed being with his best friends at any place or time and cheering on the Florida Gators. He also enjoyed spending time with his Belgian Malinois, Zelda.

He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, generosity, and loving heart.

Funeral services were at 11:00 AM Friday, May 08, 2020 at the Garner Funeral Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri, Mr. Pat Smith officiated. Burial followed and was held at the Grandview Burial Park, Hannibal, Missouri. Visitation was Thursday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Missouri. Pallbearers are Chad Verdier, Billy Smashey, Hunter McNeal, Kris Ruddell, Dalton Tobias, Colton Sanders, and Kyle Rodgers.  Memorials have been suggested to the Jarrad Verdier State Technical College Scholarship Fund.
