Jean Marie Landholm was born September 20, 1943 to Paul and Viola (Kahland) Hugo in West Point.  She attended Guardian Angels School and graduated in 1961.  After graduation, Jean worked at Grain States for two years as a bookkeeper.  On June 23, 1962, she married Larry Landholm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The couple farmed southeast of West Point where Jean was an active farm wife.

Jean was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild, Christian Mothers, and Catholic Daughters.  She was devoted to her faith and was a proud CCD teacher for many years.  She enjoyed making rosaries for family and friends, doing jig saw puzzles, and attending the grandkid’s sporting events.  Jean was famous for her potato salad and other family favorite recipes.  She loved when her family and friends called her 'Mean Jean' – even though she was anything but.

Survivors include husband, Larry, of West Point; daughters, Mary (Brian) Kreikemeier of West Point, Sheri Landholm Dahlgren of Norfolk, and Kim (Kent) Schlautman of West Point; sons, David (Kim) and Kevin (Melanie) both of West Point; 17 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great step-grandchild; sisters, Kathryn Marx of Omaha, Sharon (Larry) Dostal of Henderson, NV, and Carol 'Cookie' (Tom) Kocarnik of Omaha; brother Edmund (Karen) Hugo of West Point; sisters-in-law, JoAnn (Jerry) Petet of West Point and Janis (Rick) Evert of Lincoln; brothers-in-law, Rick (Cec) Landholm of Albuquerque, NM and Bill (Jennifer) Landholm, Jr. of West Point.  She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Paul Landholm; and son-in-law, David Stalp.
