Jean Ann Druhe was born October 31, 1933 in West Point to William and Christina (Grevson) Druhe. She attended West Point schools, graduated from West Point High School in 1952, and worked at Baumann’s department store. On June 23, 1957, Jean married Lester Luebbert at Grace Lutheran Church. The couple raised eight children on the family farm east of West Point and moved into town in the mid-1990s. Jean was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Joy Circle, enjoyed helping with Grace Notes and the church bulletin, and served as a crossing guard. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards and word games. Jean moved to Fremont in July 2013 to live with her daughter. Survivors include daughters Kathy (Jim) Murphy of Omaha, Janet Booze of Cedar Bluffs, Susan Luebbert of Fremont, and Sharon (Ken) Criley of Bethany, MO; sons Wayne of Rochester, MN, Clark (Kay Wiles) of Lyons, Walter (Becky) of West Point, and Mark (Sandy) of West Point; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester on February 4, 2007; and sister Patty Sweetland.
