The first time I met Jean

Shared by Kathleen Warren on September 14, 2016

I first met Jean, when responding to an accident my youngest brother had, had while he was riding a bike.  He was struck by a car requiring an ambulance.  Jean got there and took such great care of him.  I was so thankful she was, as were my parents.  Her giving nature and matter-of-fact way of handling any situation made me want to give back to the community the way she did.  She was Awesome and fearless and always made the "patients" feel they were in good hands.

Going to her house, which ALWAYS had coffee on lol, or a homemade cake of some kind felt soo right.  I had the privelege of calling her friend and we went on a few adventures together.  Mostly down the shore where I would be her voice of reason when she hit the slots. I would make her put most of it away lol at least until I went to bed.  Then there was the times we spent down at Veda's Baywatch cottage in CapeMay.  Jean loved the ocean.  She was fierce in her love for her family and friends.  The world rose and set for her with her Grandaughters.  Even though we didn't spend time together, when ever I saw her, she always had a big smile for me and a big warm hug. She had a pure work ethis too and will be missed by all those she touched especially at Cowtown.

I will always cherish the memories of her welcoming nature.  Be Happy now Jean. Rest with the Angels my friend.
