Jean, better known as "Jeanie" to family and friends was the eldest daughter of Oliver & Lessie Slaughter.

She was full of life and loved God. At an early age she learned to play the guitar taught to her by her father. Jean was troubled with asthma all of her life and as a child missed a lot of school because of it.

She grew up and married, gave birth to five children, her son "Tony" preceeded her in death in 2007.

Jean died of lung cancer at the hour of 3:18 pm on September 14, 2010 one week before her 78th birthday.

Jean is now out of misery and pain and is made whole with our Lord! I shall see you again mother, for eternity... for this is "Not the End"
