Her Life
April 7, 2014

Mrs. Gibson was born in Bowdon, Georgia on May 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Alice Arvester Nixon Yates and Wheeler Monroe Yates. In her younger years Mrs. Gibson worked at the Clayton General Hospital where she was an x-ray technician. She loved gardening, and enjoyed sharing vegetables from her garden with family and friends. One of her many talents was quilting. Anyone fortunate enough to have one of her designs had a real piece of art. She was a Charter member of the Heard County Chapter of the UDC. If you knew Mrs. Gibson, you were aware of her great devotion to her Evangelistic work with the Free Spirit Ministry. After her devotion to the Lord her family was her next priority. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Gibson (Betty Lou Palmer), and Jason Gibson all of Franklin, GA.; one sister, Selma Bowen also of Franklin, GA.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
