Jeanette Watson Dean, 83, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her home.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Watson and Mattie Mae Moon. She was of the Baptist Faith. She retired from Burlington Industries, and was a greeter at Walmart.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. August 22, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Keith Williams. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters; Kathy S. Denny of Oxford, Joy L. Dean of Rougemont, a sister, Rebecca Dease of Oxford, a brother, Tubby Watson of Oxford, three grandchildren; Katie D. Strickland, Casey L. Denny and Jordan Dean Doolittle. She was preceded in death by three sisters; Evelyn Thompson, Diane Daniel, Frances Breedlove, four brothers; Sylvester Watson, Jasper Watson, Claude Watson and J.W. Watson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Gay Dean.

Visitation will be held Monday August 22, 2016 from 1:45 to 2:45 P.M. prior to the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
