I always looked forward to seeing Jeanine when I would make my yearly visit to see Sheryl and Rob. We would chat and I would get to see her cat or cats. You will be dearly missed !

The shock of losing my sister-in-law Jeanine so quickly in an automobile accident has me profoundly grieving. I was her maid of honor at their wedding at White Sands Missile Base in New Mexico. It was my honor to serve my brother Russ and Jeanine in that capacity. She has been a delight in our family gatherings, a real Georgia Peach. I tried to emulate her, but my journey took a turn to the technical after high school. I remember when Russ first brought her to our home. I remember her getting off the bus, and Russ introducing us to the beautiful woman who would change our lives. Russ married a winner! She was charming to all of us and always laughing and relaxing our family. The last time that I saw her was when I graduated from Oregon State University in 1968. She provided a graduation party at their home, then I headed for California in a new VW to work at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. My mother chaperoned me on the trip south, much to her misgivings. Although we were not as close as I would have liked, Jeanine remembered to send Christmas cards. I thank God for sending the angels who removed her and Russ from their burning car. May they be blessed.

Jeanine was such a joy to be around when I would visit Rob and Sheryl. I admired her ability and enthusiasm to sew and cook like no other. She would even share her gifts and teach her grand children as well. She was the life of the party so to speak and a great storyteller and I enjoyed our conversations. I will always cherish this last Christmas we shared together and her amazing talent to create an embroidered shirt that was such a beautiful gift that showed her talent, her heart to take the time to make something for me that was so personal and comforting during the hardest time of my life. She will be missed.

Jeanine was always so kind to everyone she met and always practiced hospitality to everyone she knew. I continually remember how every time I saw her that she was so welcoming and kind, whether that was an annoying teenager in Alaska or 30 year later in PA. She was always a kind and gracious soul. My thoughts & prayers are with the family.

When she came to watch performances, she had such a warm smile. And I loved her sweet accent. Praying for you all.

I didn't know Jeanine very well but she came to Bible study at Efree with Sheryl when I was there and we talked a few times. Things that stood out to me were her warmth, joy, smile, ability to laugh easily, down-to-earthness, love and acceptance of others, and seeming to be the kind of squishy Grandma you would love to hug.

I remember her from Bible study. You guys were so sweet together; I couldn't believe you weren't actual mother-and-daughter.

I know Jeanine through Rob and Sheryl, and didn't have the opportunity to interact with her much, but one thing I do remember is her smile and joy. She loved much, and I know she will be deeply missed. My prayers and love continue to go out to the family.

Jeanine was an inspiration to me. She was never afraid to be herself. She stood strong for things she believed in, she loved with all her heart, and she laughed from her heart. She brought such joy to those around her. We all looked forward to our Bible study times and our Ladies Missionary meetings. It was a joy and a dear friend who will be missed by so many.

I will always remember that smile that lit up the room and her stories that brought much laughter and joy. She was never a morning person and I thought there was something wrong with me for feeling the same way. But she left me know that it's okay not to be. She was such a blessing and will be greatly missed!

I love this pic because it was taken right after her mother's funeral.  Laughter through tears is so healing and so healthy....and that was Mom.
