May 26, 2017

That's me the handsome young boy, the other end is my twin sister Debbie , in the middle Jeannie. She and Scott were the grand children of our neighbors next door , the Jacobsons . We were very close with the Jacobsons and played with Jeannie and Scott often . Not sure why we are all so dressed up, must have been a special occation.  Those were special days. Danny

Skiing in Steamboat Springs, CO

June 23, 2016

One of our great ski trips to visit my brother who lived in Steamboat I believe in 1977 or 1978. Have so many great memories with this dear friend. I'm sorry she had to leave us but know we'll meet again in that peaceful never ending life

Earl and Scott,

news of your daughter and sisters passing it is very painful for me and all who knew Jeannie,

is also news to me of Dede’s passing. I believe the only thing I have no experience at is mourning the loss of life, I’d don’t believe I have acknowledged my own father’s death. I am very good at suppressing anything that is not fun please forgive me, but what’s great is I only remember the most wonderful things about Jeannie or Dede and both of you guys what a great family.

I’ll never bowl a strike without thinking of Dede, and I confess I always had a crush on Jeannie she was beautiful inside and out I’ve missed all of you, and feel guilt for not reaching out to at least say hi.. Miss you guys. David Scherer

PS Earl, Im sorry, knowone should feel the pain of outliveing thier child....

I can imagin the pain

The Whole Family

June 11, 2016

I love the picture that Scott posted of our small family. The only one I remember of everyone in one photo, at Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I am Scott and Jeanne's cousin Gary. It was harder as we grew older to get all of us together at once, scattered around the country. This photo is precious.

I will write more in future days, but I am very sad we have lost Jeanne. Too young to go. I didn't get to see her much in recent years but have such wonderful memories of our childhood growing up together. I miss her already. Very sad.

Those awkward times when . . .

June 8, 2016

Remember when your parents said “Let me take that picture - Get closer, stop fidgeting, stop arguing, and get closer to your brother now!!!" – This picture was taken back in the height of the Cootie era scare. All boys had them appaently. I may have had them, but no idea what they were. Anyway, who would have wanted to hang around a football dude anyway?

From Bob

I remember this day very well. This was the first picture of all four of us.

Fishing at Navajo Lake

June 7, 2016

One time the four of us were all in our boat fishing and nothing was happening. We’d changed bait, lures – still nothing. Getting bored with this Jeannie and Dee lit up a cigarette and wham, everyone had action and the fish were coming on board. We must have had our limits within the hour.

From that day forward before we got into the car to go fishing our check list went like this:

-          Fishing Poles – check

-          Bait – check

-          Soft drinks and beer in the cooler – check

-          Cigarettes – DOUBLE CHECK
